Security Company Eset has warned that several virus writers are using a new worm to attack Windows.
The Company informed that these new malevolent software adversely affect the performance of Windows processing.
According to Eset researcher, Pierre-Marc Bureau, this new worm through bottom feeder grabs different techniques. He also said that the server for offering such malicious software is based somewhere in the US only.
This vulnerability link of Microsoft Windows was initially attacked by a worm known as Stuxnet. Stuxnet target those systems that run on industrial control system management software by Siemens.
It takes out supervisory control and data acquisition files from the computer systems and then discards them through Internet. Stuxnet spreads through USB devices. Eset has said that the worm is most likely to be rampant soon.
"Currently, there is only one known case in Germany of infection, which did not result in any damage”, said Siemens spokesperson, Michael Krampe.
After this revelation, Siemens has released Security update and Trend Micro security, which would clean the affected systems.
Microsoft is also facing the pressure to issue the safety patches to deal with such worm attacks. Microsoft has said that it is working to provide a good security patch. It will issue its security patches on August 10.
