HealthSouth to Start the Construction of 40-Bed Facility in Houston

According to a recent report, HealthSouth will start the construction of a new 40-bed facility in Houston. The construction of the rehabilitation hospital will commence in the fourth quarter.

Moreover, the Corp. has also struck a deal to acquire six-acre tract of land form an affiliate of Caldwell Cos., based in Houston.

The cost of the deal, however, has not been made public. Presently, the firm operates 13 rehabilitation hospitals in Texas and also one hospital in Houston. It has also opened two hospitals in Loudoun County and Bristol, respectively.

The quarterly results of the firm would be out on August 2.

President of HealthSouth’s Texas region, Frank Brown, disclosed that they want to provide state-of-art facilities for the residents of Houston.

The hospital would be built over an area of 48,000-square-foot. Brown disclosed that all the rooms will be private and the rehabilitation technology is advanced.

The hospital also boasts of an on-site therapy gym.

Earlier, the hospital had also purchased Desert Canyon Rehabilitation Hospital and Sugar Land Rehabilitation Hospital in Las Vegas.

Presently, the shares of the Company are witnessing a decline of 0.33%.

According to the Analysts of the Wall Street, the firm would have an estimated $0.43 a share on its income.
