Queensland's coast has been a victim of the wild and aggressive weather.

With the huge possibility of sleet and snow to be witnessed on Friday morning, Queenslanders on the southern Darling Downs have already been cautioned about the same.

Sudden and strong winds blowing over New South Wales are recorded to get colder, with high chances of heavy snow, claims Weatherzone's Brett Dutschke.

The unceasing strong winds and huge swells are reported to have wretched havoc, as recently they swept a 50-metre-long, 1000-tonne barge onto a Gold Coast beach. In addition, a 22-metre charter fishing boat, carrying 21 people was overturned at Swains Reef, nearly 200 kilometers off Yeppoon, in central Queensland at 4:30 am on Wednesday.

The coastline running from northern NSW to central Queensland has been a victim of huge swells and wild, stormy weather, Weatherzone forecaster Brett Dutschke posted.

"Last night there were some big thunderstorms generating wind gusts of up to 80km per hour. Seas were higher than two meters that would have kicked up quite a bit during the heaviest thunderstorms", Mr. Dutschke revealed.

Brisbane has been receiving record rains, which it had never witnessed in the past 120 years. However, disastrous winds moving across the coast are expected to hit Brisbane on Thursday.
