Wesley Harden, Imaging Director said that this MRI system was built in such a way, so as to take complete advantage of the computer that is built on the recent developments brought in the computers.

Thus, this is a step closer in the attempts of offering a sample technology to the West Volusia community.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine at Vancouver General Hospital will at last be replaced after a term of 20 years of service, after it received donation money being offered by one of the home foundations.

The Milan & Maureen Ilich Foundation offered the donation, so as to help get the new MRI scanner in B.C. and replace it with the old one.

The officers at the hospital said that the $3.7 million should be able to fulfill cost demands of a majority of the machines.

The VHG MRI machine has been in usage for no less than 14 hours each day, with almost 11,000 procedures carried out in the year 2009.
