Indian-Origin Doctor Found Guilty of Sexual Misconduct

Dr. Parag Bhatt, an Indian-origin doctor in the United Kingdom was found to be sexually teasing some of his female patients, including a 16-year-old girl.

The General Medical Council mentioned that the 46-year-old general physician in Rotherham was found caressing the breasts of the women patients. As per the daily mail report, Dr. Bhatt has indulged himself in professional misconduct.

The Medical Council says that Dr. Bhatt has been unable to justify his atrocious act and has violated the medical ethics. The council also said that the patients have lost their trust in him.

It is noteworthy that the physician underwent a trial in the year 2009 for sexually harassing his patients in 2007. But at that time he was acquitted of all charges.

When a woman arrived at Dr. Bhatt’s clinic to show her swollen finger and problems related to heart, instead of medically examining her, he tried to fondle her breasts.

A 16-year-old girl was also mistreated by the doctor, when he tried to touch her breasts unnecessarily.

Another patient said that she felt awful and cried a lot after being mishandled by the disgraced doctor.

The council told the physician that his conduct was not right and that he has seriously violated the professional ethics.
