Bruce Springsteen’s Guitar Hero Debut

Bruce Springsteen, who joins the ranks of The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix and the Eagles, will be lending his formidable talents to the Guitar Hero DLC library. With a busy month ahead, the Boss has a new album coming out, a date with Super Bowl and his music's video game premiere for Activision's 'Guitar Hero: World Tour.' Activision Blizzard is a leading worldwide developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment and leisure products.

Coinciding with the 27th January release of his newest album 'Working on a Dream', Springsteen's video-game debut includes his contribution of something old - his classic 'Born to Run' and something new - 'My Lucky Day' from his upcoming album, for the Guitar Hero World Tour.

Springsteen's two song track pack will be available for free downloading 27th January via the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Store and Nintendo Wii (as singles), albeit for a limited time period till 5th February, after which it will sell for 320 Microsoft Points, 200 Wii Points per track, and $3.99 on the PlayStation 3.

While, the Beetles and other classic artists are now on board, Led Zeplin, Pink Floyd and a handful of other talented artists continue to hold out against contributing to the music/video game space. For how long, remains to be seen!
