Parents Say that Wi-Fi Networks Causes Headaches and Nausea in their Children

According to the parents in the central Ontario town of Barrie, their children are getting sick because of the Wi-Fi systems present in the school. They allege that due to the usage of these wireless systems, the children keep complaining about uneasiness, nausea, giddiness, headaches, and increased rate of heart beat.

The members of the parents group have requested Simcoe County school board to get rid of these wireless networks as early as possible. The members found that the microwave intensity was four times more in one of Simcoe County schoolroom as compared to intensities near a mobile phone tower.

The group also suggested paying from their pockets for the networks installed in the affected schools, but the school administration turned down the offer.

As per Rodney Palmer, a member of the Safe School Committee, the symptoms are not found during weekends and the parents are unable to produce sufficient evidences that the symptoms are actually caused because of overexposure to such Wi-Fi waves.

According to Susan Clarke, a research consultant at Harvard School of Public Health, due to soft and thin skull, the rate of absorption of radiation is higher in younger children as compared to adolescents and elders.
