Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W3 is a new pocket-sized 3D camera announced by Fujifilm today. This model is the successor of the Fujifilm Real 3D W1, and has two similar built-in lenses and image sensors, a necessary component for capturing real 3D imagery.
But this appliance has come up with a new feature of 3D video capturing in high definition. This will give the users a new experience to enter the world of 3D photography. With this, FujiFilm is making its place firm in the camera world, and it’ll also soon be introducing its Real 3D W3 digital camera.
There are many other pocket-sized cameras like Sony's new Cyber-shot cameras and many more that were introduced to capture 3D images via clever software post-processing. But, this new device launched by FujiFilm, uses two lenses placed at a distance of 75 mm and corresponding image sensors, to capture true 3D files.
This technique is much similar to the way the two eyes in a human body captures images by which the brain can perceive the depth. The lenses in the Fuji W3 will grant 3X optical zoom and are of a focal length 35-105mm.
The other features of the camera are just similar to the normal cameras with a 10MP sensor, and zooming that can take stills as well as high definition video in 720P. These images captured by this camera are written as 2D JPEG files and 3D MPO files, which is an industry standard for 3D images.
