News reports are doing the rounds that Google is soon to come up with a tablet, and it is being made by none other than the maker of the famous EVO 4G, HTC.
It is speculated that the tablet might be out on Black Friday, in November. According to a blog Download Squad, Google's tablet will have Chrome OS, which is the Company's upcoming open-source operating system.
If these reports are to be believed, then the market will have another option to choose from, since at present, Apple's iPad has a monopoly in the tablet market. Lee Matthews at Download Squad said that the Google Chrome tablet will be retailed at a much lesser price than the iPad by Verizon.
The tablet will feature a 1280x720 multitouch display, 2GB of RAM and minimum 32GB SSD. It will be based on Nvidia's Tegra 2 platform and will be equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE connectivity and GPS.
The Google tablet will also sport a webcam, and probably expandable storage by means of a multi-card reader.
It seems that Google is not the only one which is coming up with a tablet. Other popular makers are also in the horde. Amongst these, Samsung Galaxy Tab is all set to be launched at the IFA 2010 consumer electronics show, in Berlin.
