Brandon Goddard was surprised to find a 30 inch rodent when he went for shooting rats at a rat infested estate. He was taken aback when five huge rodents who were as big as large cats ran past him.

Brandon called them ratzillas than normal rats. Many residents have also complained about giant rats at the Ravenscliffe estate. Some citizens have also nitpicked of encountering these large rodents in their homes and gardens.

Brandon and his friends decided to check out these large rodents themselves. They carried an air rifle and surveyed the estate for these animals.

All of them got a huge surprise when they saw five of these large rodents and they managed to shoot one of them.

Many species of large rats are generally found in South America and Indonesia.

While one of the large rodents known as coypu is found in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. It mainly lives in water and in burrows near river banks.

Many believed that it has become extinct after a campaign in 1989 across the UK. It caused a lot of damage to river banks and irrigation systems.

These large rats have also been found in jungles of Papua New Guinea. The biggest variety known as woolly rats can reach almost 3 feet in length.
