Salesforce posts better-than-expected profit

Salesforce. com Inc has reportedly seen better-than-expected quarterly profit. And because of this, the company has also raised the full-year forecasts.

The company has been able to see the rise since the more and more clients signed up for the cloud-computing services.

Salesforce is into the business of cloud computing and has competitors to the likes of SAP, Microsoft and Oracle Cor.

As per the financial, it kept its full year forecasts to the range of $1.595-$1.6 billion. For the earnings per share, with non-GAAP principals, the range will be between $1.15-$1.17 as against $1.13 to $1.15, it had earlier.

As for the third quarter earnings, it will be around 30 cents to 31 cents a share and revenue will be between $408-410 million.

This is higher than what the analysts have forecasted. As per them, the third quarter earnings will be between 29 cents or $393.8 million.

Talking to media, Chief Executive Marc Benioff said that he was bullish about the company and says that with less costs and better client updates, the company will be doing fairly well.

Post the declaration, it went up by 7.9 per cent.
