It is for January 2011 that the iMiEV will be launched, which earlier was priced at £38,699, however the new price for the Mitsubishi car arrives at £28,990.
It appears that the move made by the car maker was taken in order to contest with the approaching flood of electric cars and vehicles that will pave their way towards the UK by upcoming year.
Professionals in the sector have predicted an increase in the uptake of low carbon cars, since the Government has avowed to maintain its promise to offer £5,000 for the cost of a new electric car.
It clearly means that buyers will be able to own the iMiEV for £23,990.
No less than 2,300 such cars have taken on the roads of Japan, for now.
Mitsubishi Motors’ UK Managing Director, Lance Bradley said that the car will remain at the topmost place, counting all the aspects.
He said that the firm is the first to offer this car in all the aspects in the UK’s EV market and that it was not going to let the position be slipped from its hands.
