Microsoft has announced to unveil its Halo: Reach that will complete its blockbuster Xbox video-game series, by Sept. 14.

Halo made its debut in 2001, and its fourth installment is highly anticipated.

Microsoft’s highly demanded alien-invasion-themed game along with its appurtenant books, toys, and apparel has fetched great success, recording sales of a whopping $2 billion.

However, the technology giant is confident that Halo: Reach would take the Company at new heights. Besides, it augurs the device to yield more revenue compared to the spectacular $600 million plus sales recorded for 2007's Halo 3, discerned as the series' robust seller as of now.

Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter has speculated the new series to land its operating margins at around 60 %.

Halo: Reach is reported to be the last component of the very famous and successful blockbuster Xbox video-game series that will hail its production by Bungie. However, from now all the future Halo is revealed to be designed and manufactured in-house at Microsoft center.

Halo is deemed to be a vital creation for Microsoft, which had generated over $16 billion in revenue recorded for the quarter ended June 30.
