CA Technologies Extends Support for Amazon

The technical performance of the services can now be monitored by the IT managers and they will also be able to deploy applications and resources within the Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure as CA Technologies has now extended support for Amazon.

An extension has been made by the CA Technologies in its IT management tools just so they can support the Amazon Virtual Private Cloud. The cloud applications will now be mechanized and monitored by CA Virtual Assurance, CA Service Automation, CA Service Assurance and the Nimsoft Monitoring Solution.

“Customers also recognize that the management of VPC, and in general public clouds, reduces their business risk and accelerates the adoption of those services across the enterprise”, said Stephen Elliot, Vice President of strategy for CA's virtualization and automation unit.

The CA Technologies customers can now launch Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances into the network by first creating an isolated network and then specifying the IP address range. Amazon VPC has enabled the users to widen their datacenter into the cloud with the help of a secure industry-standard encrypted IPsec virtual private network (VPN) connection.

Elliot further said that this sign up had become very important as the users demand had to be taken care of. The customers desired a similar level of management from cloud providers that they were getting internally and, therefore, this requirement had to be met soon.
