HBO leads Emmys pack, powered by "Temple Grandin"

Temple Grandin, described as the little movie aired on television swept away the show from its contender The Pacific which is a project worth more than $200 million while HBO once again succeeded in obtaining the maximum number of awards at the 62nd annual Primetime Emmy awards.

While the Temple Grandin succeeded in grabbing seven prizes with about fifteen nominations, The Pacific bagged eight trophies with twenty four recommendations.

Glee followed The Pacific with nineteen nominations while Mad Men ranked third with seventeen selections. While the figures for last year stood at twenty one Emmy awards out of ninety nine nominations, this year HBO owned by Time Warner Inc. grabbed twenty five trophies out of a hundred and one nominations.

The categorically noncommercial tale of a lady suffering from autism who transforms knacker's yard depicted in Temple Grandin won three honors for acting as it relishes the best achievement rates at this award show.

In the race amongst the various channels, HBO topped followed by ABC which had eighteen awards in its kitty while Fox, CBS and NBC ranked third, fourth and fifth with eleven, ten and eight prizes respectively.
