Cisco & Skype- A Match Made In Heaven
Cisco, Skype

In the previous days, TechCrunch had highlighted that the tech giant Cisco, had made a bid for Skype. However, no confirmation was given on the same by the both the Companies.

In the wake of the rumors, the market is speculating that both Cisco and Skype should tie the knot, so as to say, since both the Companies complement each other in a perfect way. One can safely say post the analysis of the road map of the Companies that Cisco and Skype are a match made in heaven!

All these speculations are spreading like wild fire since the experts believe that Skype would gel well in the current product line of Cisco.  Presently, Cisco’s emphasis is entirely on videos and even the CEO of Cisco claimed that video is the top notch app of all the IP networks also encompassing the Internet.

Further, since a long time, Cisco has been toiling hard to make a place for itself in the consumer market, and with the anticipated buy-out of Skype, Cisco would be successful in its mission. In case the brand image of Cisco gets linked with Skype, the large customer base of Skype would be more than happy to make Cisco branded Skype calls.

It is reported that Skype has a valuation of $5million and is looking for an equivalent amount. Thus, Cisco needs to shell the whooping amount in case it intends to get its hands on Skype.

In all the perfect match making, the only obstacle that one can anticipate is that if the buyout takes place, Cisco would be in head on competition with established phone Companies like AT& T and Verizon.
