Dog Treats to the Tune of 75,000 Bags Recalled by Hartz Mountain Corporation

In the wake of a probable salmonella threat, one of the leading dog treats is being recalled from all across the US.

The Company named, Hartz Mountain Corporation has announced bags of their naturals real beef treats and it is reported that the recall is to the tune of as many as 75,000 bags.

The supplier of Hartz is Brazilian known, Bertin S. A., and reports claim that the dog treat was distributed to numerous customers that are spread across in different areas in the United States.

Though regular testing that is scheduled prior to the testing was conducted by Bertin, but the presence of salmonella was not found in the same.

However, when the FDA conducted random sampling of the tests, the packages were detected with salmonella infection.

Post the finding, the root cause of the problem is being probed in depth by Hartz and in the mean time the Company, to be cautions, has voluntarily recalled the products. The news of the mass recall was announced by Hartz in a press release. The Company further stated that it was extending its percentage co-operation to the US FDA.

Further, as per the information divulged by the Company reports, the lot code of the recall products is BZ0969101E, UPC number 32700-11519.

Despite the pandemonium of the recall, no reports of the illness in animals or the humans.
