To Tame the Panic, Officials Advocate Early Flu Shots

In order to contain the mayhem created by the flu, the officials are all set to make the flu shots accessible early this year. Learning lessons from the past, the Government and the commercial retailers are laying huge emphasis on the importance of being vaccinated against the flu.

Reports claim that the drug makers this year have produced the vaccine for the seasonal flu far ahead that it is scheduled to be in place.

It was seen last year that the manufacturers put in enormous efforts to supply ample vaccine shots; however failed. But this year, breaking the tradition, it is believed that the shots would be available before Oct 1.

Confirming the early availability of the vaccines, Tampa CVS Pharmacist Patty Allen said, "We're making it so much more accessible than in the past. It's just a lot easier than waiting hours for a shot".

Delighted with the commercial availability of the vaccine in advance, the officials at the Hillsborough County Health Department are upbeat about the development and are confident this would help fight the flu in an efficient way.

Reports claim that post the rampant outbreak of the H1N1 flu in the year 2009, the early accessibility of the flu shots is an integral part of the increased awareness program initiated by the Government and the health authorities.
