External data center services would be introduced by VMware, as it has announced recently at the VMworld. These services will be provided with the help of five partners, out of which, three of them are situated in the U. S.
These services include VMware vSphere 4 compatible environments along with a much simpler method of moving an ESX Server workload from the enterprise into the cloud. But as far as the U. S. based cloud service providers are concerned, then Verizon Business and Terremark are comparatively much well known.
Indianapolis-based supplier of data center services, BlueLock, backs the third position in the race. It will be allowing its VMware customers to view their works running in BlueLock along with running at their home data center, and that too just on a single pane of glass.
This will be done through a management interface called CloudConnector that will be supplied by BlueLock. Also, for the vSphere 4 Infrastructure management system, VMware gives the provision of a Windows client interface.
Pat O'Day, CTO of BlueLock in a VMworld show announcement held last week, said, “If you know how to manage your virtual machines with the VMware vSphere Client, you know how to manage our cloud with BlueLock CloudConnector”.
