According to reports, in order to get a free wedding and honeymoon package, a New York bride lied that she was suffering from last-stage cancer.
RecordOnline.com reports that Michael O'Connell has accused that his wife, Jessica Vega, faked that she has terminal leukemia, to fetch contributions from strangers and relatives who paid for everything right from her bridal gown to the duo's honeymoon.
The newspaper reported that all the expenses for the wedding were taken care of by her well-wishers. The couple went for a honeymoon in Aruba with the money that came via donations. The pair aged 23, appeared in an April
26 Times Herald-Record article that how strangers had contributed to fulfill the dream marriage of an ailing bride. So, it is indeed shocking that all this while Vega was healthy enough to take her marriage vows.
Meanwhile, Vega has refuted all claims related to fibbing about her illness.
O'Connell, who was earlier under the impression that his wife is suffering from a fatal disease, is now saying that a letter from Vega’s doctor illustrating her sickness is phony.
Interestingly, when O'Connell called up at the office of Dr. Dan Costin, who was mentioned in the letter, he came to know that the doctor did not have any patient with his wife’s name.
