A novel poll has revealed that a majority of kids in foster care homes felt safe, happy and most loved but at the same time a lot of them showed apprehensions concerning their future.

Over 2,700 kids in Queensland and caretakers were polled on matters relating family, health and education, who answered about the same and their experiences in the foster care.

This study is one of the largest all through the world.

A good proportion of them said that they felt safe with the existing setting, as reported by the View of Children and Young People in Foster Care Queensland 2010.

Almost all the kids felt that their caretakers gave them a lot of attention and also listened to them with all the care and the best part was the kind of lifestyle they were living with their carer as well the relationship between them.

At the same time, a lot of them spoke that they were intimidated to think what would happen to their future.

Less than half of the ones polled showed confidence towards the promises they received from the department on various problems.

Over 40% of them desired to meet their family more often.

The main trouble amongst the kids was relating health like dental and mental troubles and also, many said that they faced problems at school.
