Users of Android and iPhone to Have Free Access to BT FON App

A mobile application has been launched by BT for the broadband customers. The app can automatically connect the Android and iPhone of the users to the unlimited and free Wi-Fi.

Only the customers of BT Total Broadband can use the BT FON app, which informs the users of the nearby Wi-Fi hot spot.

If the users are in a BT Wi-Fi area, then they can enter their BT internet email username and password to log in automatically.

Now, the users are not required to pay extra costs of broadband, as they can access unlimited BT Total Broadband for free.

Currently, BT Openzone and BT FON have 1.6m Wi-Fi hot spots globally. “There are a lot of users who don't know that they can use their bundle minutes away from home”, said Mike Wilson, Manager of Mobiles and Broadband at moneysupermarket . com.

He added that a map is also available on this application through which the users can come to know about their nearest hot spot area.

Android and Apple's iPhone already have an option of searching free Wi-Fi connections. However, users more often access password protected hot spots along with unlocked Wi-Fi providers. Moreover, it is not necessary that every time they will have free access.
