Google claims the second anniversary of Chrome by offering the sixth version of the Chrome web browser.
Reports of Google claim that the recently released Chrome version 6.0.472.53 offers a better, faster version and at the same time takes care of 14 security flaws that were exploited by the security researchers showcased through Google's vulnerability hunting program.
The company has rewarded $4,337 in cash to all those developers who were credited of discovering the 14 security flaws sorted out by Google, including six majors.
Chrome Product Manager, Brian Rakowski, through a blog post stated: "In August 2008, JavaScript was 10 times slower, HTML5 support wasn't yet an essential feature in modern browsers, and the idea of a sandboxed, multi-process browser was only a research project."
Google further adds that the recent offering of Chrome- 7.0.513.0, offers a better stability and supposedly is faster than the first beta version of the Chrome web browser.
