Sky will support the television offerings made by LG to its user base who wish to opt for 3D channels, as stated at the IFA trade exhibition being held in Berlin, Germany.
The reports released by the satellite broadcaster speaks of the agreement with LG to help support LG in offering the 3D TV channel service, Sky 3D, which supposedly be unveiled in the UK on October 1.
The report states that it would be the nation's first offering of an actual 3D service offering to offer sports, movies, music, TV shows and other media content to be offered in 3D format to users of Sky and Sky HD, for free.
The head of marketing at LG, Stephen Gater stated: "Making 3D technology a genuine reality in people's homes relies on the pairing of great hardware and compelling content. Our partnership with Sky recognises just this."
It was further added that the marketing deal is another move in the already formed association of the two companies offering support to Sky 3D in nightclubs and pubs in the UK in the start of the year.
The agreement was further agreed upon by both the firms who claim to showcase the Sky 3D channel on LG's 3D TV sets all over UK.
