Singer Katy Perry found it difficult to deal with a skin-tight dress on a giant banana during her appearance on the Italian version of the show The X Factor.

However, in spite of all the troubles she had on the banana, Perry eventually went up the stage later and performed her single California Gurls, which became an instant hit with the audience.

Singer of the Teenage Dream had earlier tweeted on her Twitter page expressing how psyched and excited she was about Italy, and that she has been eating whatever has been catching her eye, and that  she felt like a beached whale, even though the show has already started and that she will be going later.

In the mean time, Katy has declared her joining the Saturday Night Live star Amy Poehler for a guest appearance in the latest series of the American show.

Katy is currently engaged to British comedian Russell Brand. In a tweet, she mentioned that she will be opening the new season of Saturday night live on 25th September alongside Amy Poehler.
