Boeing to cut its military aircraft division jobs

The largest aircraft maker of the world Boeing has decided to cut its military aircraft division jobs because of the tightening defence spending of the US government for future.

The aircraft giant has declared to cut 10% jobs of its executive positions with reduction of jobs in all levels in the coming months. The cut in jobs is the result of the company’s decision to reduce its six divisions down to four starting from the next month.

According to the company, the new decision will improve the efficiency and reduce the complexity of the firm. This move will also allow the military aircraft division of Boeing to meet the global and domestic defence aircraft requirements for next 10 years or beyond that.

US government had declared earlier that it would reduce its spending in to the defence because of the troubled economic condition of the country. Boeing’s move to cut divisions is a reaction to the decision of the US government. As per the statement of the aircraft maker this move will allow the company to remain competitive in the global market and also allow the company to grow faster.
