Ontario Report Calls for Legal Changes Concerning Opioids Health Crisis

An Ontario report is demanding for practical means to stop peddling and bartering of oxycodone and other opioid drugs that claim quite a number of lives in Canada.

On September 8, a report released in the Canadian province of Ontario by the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons stated about a suggestion that docs need to inform the police about the details of patients, who are found to be using illegal drugs or being involved in it in a certain way.

This one was one of the recommendations made by them out of the other 31 in their report, which they named as Avoiding Abuse, Achieving a Balance: Tackling the Opioid Public Health Crisis.

Each and every suggestion stated has been made with the intention at cutting the abuse of this drug Oxycontin and of other opioids in Ontario, and the group has already shown a great level seriousness into the matter, since they have involved their own members.

It seems that Ontario is floating in the middle of catastrophe that has stemmed from the improper prescription practices, and unlawful usage of opioids.

As per the informed offered by the report, the nation is the third biggest consumer of opioid drugs and the drug is easily available on the streets.
