Android market makes up one-fourth web traffic of US as per the reports of Quantcast.

This report hints that Android is narrowing in competition with Apple's iOS in comparison to gross traffic of United States.

Android market has grown over 25 percent, whereas Apple continues to be the leader in smartphone market with 56 percent market share.

The peak sales of Apple devices during the month of September 2009, Apple dominated with more than 68 percent of the market. And at the same time the Android market was left with merely 8 percent market share.

RIM, despite the fact of having a humongous market share in US smartphone industry, was paused at 9 percent, and was majorly credited to a non-friendly Web browsing experience. It was via various other OS' which had accounted for the left over 10 percent of the web traffic.
