The website Guardian Global Development was launched today. The website has been launched after collaboration between The Guardian and Microsoft co-founder, Bill gates.

The function of the website Guardian Global Development would be to keep a check on the goals that had been set up by the United National Millennium Declaration, which has been set to bring about a change for the good, amongst the poorest people in the World.

The new website has been set-up after a partnership between the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The website would host comments from a wide range of people and would emphasize on the eight goals, which have been ascertained by the UN, in the year 2000.

On the occasion of the launch of the website, Madeleine Bunting, Associate Editor, The Guardian stated that though meeting all the targets and objectives set-up in the year 2000 was an extremely challenging job, still the objectives have raised the efforts that have been put-in by people across the globe, and have brought about a significant change around the World.

Ms. Kate James, Chief Communications Officer, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation further expressed that the foundation was very excited with the project and would love to further partake in such developments, in the future.
