Pope to Bless Child Suffering from Cancer

The Pope would bestow his blessings on a nine year old boy known as Anton McManus, as the brave nine year old wrote a letter requesting the Pope to help him keep his cancer away.

Pope Benedict would meet the brave child before his Glasgow mass. The nine year old school boy from East Killbride, Lanarkshire is ecstatic about the development. Anton expressed happiness that the Pope had granted his request and also exalted that he would be like a celebrity in school and all his mates would be a jealous lot.

Anton has been suffering from cancer since the time when doctors discovered a tumor in his spine at the tender age of four. The brave schoolboy has undergone chemotherapy, radiations and has already been under the knife twice after his neck snapped.

Though the courageous kid has recovered from the tormenting cancer, yet he is scared that the cancer might return to haunt him, which is why he wrote a letter to the Pope. He feels that God would be able to intervene and help him keep away the cancer.

Anton’s parents, Kevin and Tammy were equivocal in expressing their happiness about their son being blessed by the Pope. Tammy further added that the chance for their son to be blessed by the Pope was one in a million.

Anton meanwhile, would still always be blessed; a child at 9 who has undergone so many rigors is special and would always be in the prayers of his well-wishers.
