Economic crisis to dominate Obama’s plans

President Barack Obama, who created history by being elected as the first Black president of America, has on task another historical milestone to be achieved- rejuvenation of the staggering US economy.

It would be on his priority list to plan an economic package to bail out the crumbling US economy.
Besides working for the economy, Obama would have to devise plans to stop the hemorrhage of jobs. To maintain his popularity ratings he has to find a solution to this Phoenix’s Puzzle.

The President has already signaled a delay in his campaign promise to raise taxes on the wealthy, prompt action on the North America Free Trade Agreement, changing the "don"t ask, don't tell" policy for gays in the military, and making it easier for workers to unionize.

Among the other important tasks on the Obama list would be winding up of the Iran war and making Afghanistan more stable.

Long term funding problems of Medicare and Social Security is another task that needs to be accomplished by the new government. Obama has already planned to convene "fiscal responsibility summit" in February. He also has to keep the campaign promise of spending $10 billion per year for five years to convert paper medical records to electronic records. This would ensure reduction in costs and errors.
