Main Provisions of New Health Care Law to be Implemented from Thursday

President Barack Obama’s much awaited new health care law’s major provisions will be implemented on Thursday. Many people in the United States are expecting great benefits from this new law.

On Wednesday, the President, while addressing a small gathering, said that it was not possible to ignore the health care issue. It was the most important agenda of the Government.

People will have to wait for a longer time to get the full benefits of the new law, but many consumers are hoping to gain significant new protections at the start of this fall.

After the implementation of the new law, it will be mandatory to cover all children, even if they are suffering from any serious illness. The insurers will also have to offer free of cost preventive services to the consumers.

Many insurance Companies are reducing administrative staff in order to bring down the overhead costs. They are also investing the money in big technology upgrades and training the staff in order to tackle the huge number of customer inquiries.

Many insurers are saying that they are changing their business models to deal with the new law standards.

Karen Ignagni, who is the Chief Executive of America’s Health Insurance Plans, has described the new health care legislation as ‘Manhattan Project’ because of the scale and the scope.
