Dell Inc. has released the second offering of tablet computer on Wednesday, all set to challenge for Apple Inc.'s (AAPL) iPad device. The device comes in form of a 7-inch tablet featuring Google Inc.'s (GOOG) Android smartphone operating system, Dell Chief Executive Michael Dell addressed to public at an Oracle Corp.'s (ORCL) annual conference in San Francisco.
The first release of Dell offering its first tablet device, came in form of the Streak, which was pronounced in Europe soon before unveiling in US boundaries.
The device comes is sized at 5-inches--half the size of the iPad—can make and receive calls, and is powered by Android based operating system.
The Streak comes with front and rear-facing cameras, 2GB of internal memory with an included 16GB card and the ability to offer turn-by-turn navigation and social networking apps.
US based electronics and PC maker stated that the Streak will be featured at Best Buy Co. (BBY) stores soon. The Chief Financial Officer Brian Gladden said, "We'll have a series of these devices, which will have low development costs allowing the company to test different form factors on the market. “
