The Kaiser Family Foundation conducted a poll regarding the new health care reform policy. It was found that 53% people in the United States are still not very clear about the Affordable Care Act.
The Affordable Care Act has many new changes that are designed to make health insurance policy coverage more strong and fair. Some provisions of the new policy have been released, but it will be completely launched in the year 2014.
President Barrack Obama's health care chief said that as and when people will learn about the health care reform, the guidelines will become clearer.
Kathleen Sebelius, who is the Health and Human Services Secretary, expressed her unhappiness toward many health insurance Companies for not providing coverage to the country’s neediest people.
She further said, “No longer do insurance companies in the United States get to pick and choose who gets coverage”. She added that under the new law the insurers will have to provide insurance to people, when they will fell ill.
It is estimated that almost 50% of America's population, that is around 176 million, will get health care coverage through employer-provided plans.
One can apply and buy policies by visiting the new Federal Government website, www. healthcare. gov. The website will have state wise list of all insurers.
