China Unicom Company Vice President, Li Gang declared the sale of the first shipment of the iPhone 4 in China. The official launch of the iPhone 4 in China was done, on Saturday.

This Company is the sole mobile carrier for the iPhone 4 in China and has said that as many as 100,000 iPhone 4s have been sold in the market within four days of the launch of the device, in China.

China Unicom is busy exhorting the buyers to come directly to retail stores to sign up for the device, instead of making reservations for the iPhone 4 online.

As many as 200,000 users have reportedly ordered for the device, last week. According to reports, the popularity of the device has made all the retailers worldwide to vend the product.

"A lot of users no longer want to use these older phones with few features and instead want to buy the latest models like the iPhone", said Liu Liang, an Analyst with consulting group iResearch.

As per a Beijing-based research firm, Analysys International, prior to the iPhone 4 sale in China, the Chinese smartphone market already had as much as 7.1 shares.

Li also announced the launch of its mobile application download store, the Wo Store most probably by next month.
