To assist designing products for baby boomers in Asia, the project naming “Live Well Collaborative“, a joint effort of Procter & Gamble and the University of Cincinnati has been expanded to Singapore.
The initiation of the project took place at UC. With the help of the program, P&G and other Companies could take the expertise of UC in designing or modifying products for the masses above 50.
This week, the project under its expansion, has been introduced at Singapore Polytechnic University, which has more than 15,000 students. Singapore in collaboration with UC will carry out preliminary-stage product research that would come out with designs for Companies, which want to cater to consumer segment above the age 50.
The first member of the project is aircraft manufacturer Boeing. The Company wants to take the assistance of the program to develop designs for its new airplane cabins that provide travelers greater comfort while their journey, as expressed by Peter Hoffman, Boeing’s Director of global research and development strategy.
Deb Henretta, P&G’s group President for Asia said, “The baby boomer market in Asia is underserved. P&G estimates the market will spend $1.5 trillion a year by 2015”.
