In its attempt to establish itself more with the small and medium business (SMB) community, popular antivirus software firm AVG Technologies is attempting to establish itself more with the small and medium business community by introducing AVG Internet Security 2011 Business Edition, and AVG Antivirus 2011 Business Edition.
The new security tools, which, as per AVG CEO JR Smith, will be “the easiest to use and manage on the market,” are essentially aimed at providing SMBs with the protection they require. The technologies will be delivered to the SMBs in a way that virtually manages itself; thereby enabling the business owner and workers to can focus on actually running the business.
The new AVG products are competitively priced, with a one-year, five-seat license for AVG Internet Security Business Edition 2011 beginning at $247.99; while a one-year, two-seat license for AVG Antivirus 2011 Business Edition will start at $89.99.
The AVG Internet Security 2011 Business edition, which will be available for free for SMB owners around the country, has been designed to handle threats from online predators, and thus help the enterprises secure business data and other information.
Noting that SMBs largely have online security and data protection needs similar to those of the big companies, Smith said: “At AVG, we recognize that most small business owners are not IT experts, and need an antivirus and internet security solution for their business that provides maximum protection and is easy to administrate.”
