Seattle is the United States’ most wired city – says the Forbes’ annual survey of the most wired cities. Seattle tops the Forbes’ annual list of the 30 best U.S. tech towns and cities chosen for best broadband access.
According to Forbes, Seattle, home to the tech giants such as Amazon and Microsoft, has earned the top position for its high-speed Internet access and plentiful Wi-Fi hot spots.
Forbes’ top five include Atlanta, which was at No. 1 last year, but this time slipping to No. 2, Washington, D.C. at No. 3, Orlando at No. 4, and Boston at No. 5. Forbes named D.C. as the "wired city to watch".
Astonishingly, not even a single city of widely celebrated hub of technology, California could make into top 10. San Francisco is ranked at No. 11, San Diego at No. 12, Los Angeles at No. 13, and Sacramento at No. 19.
