Mixing business with love and pleasure, Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick turned a Thursday visit to Broadway, to watch Ruehl and Lily Rabe in 'The American Plan', into a romantic evening, holding hands, quelling rumours of a troubled marriage. Talking to PEOPLE, Parker told the magazine: 'This is date night. It was really lovely'.
Using 'Sex And The City' Carrie for a role model, Parker dressed to inspire, looking divine in a polka dot dress, white coat and spiky black heels. Scorching rumours about spitting from her husband, Parker told reporters: 'We don't even bother to address them', adding 'being married' was the best part of being married.
However, defending their relationship, not the only thing on their minds, the two attended the play in support of director David Grindley, scheduled to begin rehearsals for another Broadway play 'The Philanthropist', with Broderick in six weeks time.
As for rumours of a sequel to her hit film 'Sex and the City', based on the TV series with the same name, Parker told PEOPLE: 'that's what I've heard but I wouldn't say that is the most official thing you'll ever read.'
