Occam outlines ‘white space’ spectrum devices

It is found that the speed of broadband particularly in rural areas can be increased by utilizing unused radio waves and it could also improve wireless connectivity between varieties of devices.

A new proposal has been drawn by Ofcom to progress broadband access in rural areas by using a so-called “white space technology”. It is trying its best to do.

The “White space" means that these are the unused radio waves between the frequencies which are occupied by television channels, and now it is hoped that these waves can be applied to transmit and receive wireless signals.

These white space signals can travel further and more easily in ramparts and difficulties better than any other forms wireless communications technology. There are many wireless communications technology like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It is now thought by Ofcom that the unused or extra capacity of it can be used to enhance broadband services in rural areas.

Director of technology resources at Occam, Professor William Webb, alleged that in recent times the airwaves on which wireless devices rely on are becoming overcrowded day by day.
