A children's advocacy group called the Parents Television Council, reported on Tuesday that in the last five years they have noticed a jump of seventy percent in profanity in the major telecast programs of TV networks.
It is very alarming according to the PTC that most of programs shown on the TV are during eight and nine pm when younger viewers get attracted and watch those programs.
According to the PTC, the decision of the US second Circuit Court of Appeals in the last year which questioned the Federal Communications Commission's methods of imposing indecency rules lead to the increment of such broadcast.
The court clearly stated that FCC's imposition of indecency rules was baseless and quite chilling.
The PTC had pointed out that profanities are being scripted and shown in the TV which has increased by sixty nine percent and can' be compared with some swear words due to slips of tongue in live telecasts. PTC further stated that the networks are deliberately and pervasively using such type of language.
All the rivals were blown away in terms of ratings on Monday night by the Conan O'Brien's talk- show premiere.
