Virgin Media has vouched in for a multiscreen deal to offer its VOD content from Channel 5 to its TV, online and mobile video platforms.

Demand Five proves to be one of the major terrestrial broadcasters which needs to added in Virgin’s VOD platform. The cableco soon will be the only left-out pay-TV platform to carry VOD from all four of Britain’s legacy broadcasters.

This deal promises Virgin to show a majority shows coming out of Channel 5 and its sister concerns such as Fiver and Five US, most of them in HD.

Virgin Media now claims that a full order of terrestrial channels with the news states that they have agreed to sign a deal with Channel 5.

Mostly all Channel 5’s content will be featuring on Virgin Media’s TV, online and mobile video platforms, comprising of the HD content. Sister channels Fiver and Five US will complement the deal.

Virgin Media’s viewers can now watch their favorite shows like CSI: Miami, The Mentalist and Push as well as long-running soap Home and Away.

Virgin Media however offers users a £50 in addition to their bill which gets signed-up online with broadband, TV and home phone bundles by 22 November. This comes as a six month deal with half price and free installation offers, offering a net saving of £148.50 in the first year.
