One of the Quantas Airways Ltd planes returned to Sydney as electrical faults were detected .The plane was supposed to go to Buenos Aires. It became the fourth flight that got aborted by the carrier company in less than two weeks.
The Plane which is a Boeing with flight number Co 747 landed safely. None of the two hundred and twenty passengers or its crew members suffered from any sort of injury. These facts were given by Quantas via an email.
The plane is undergoing inspection of the engineers to find out the fault.
The incident follows as Quantas the Sydney-based air carrier keeps on scrutinizing its grounded fleet of SAS A380 jetliners, the Airbuses for the explosion of its Rolls Royce group Plc made engines that happened in the mid air on 4, November.
Another couple of the air carrier's planes were turned back because of faulty engines but those are faults of different kinds as stated by Quantas.
According to Chris Weston, an institutional dealer at IG markets of Melbourne commented that they have no idea what extent of damage the incident can do. He went on to say even if the damage is the least then also people wont take the risk of holding airline shares.
Quantas saw a fall of zero decimal four percent to reach the amount of two decimal seven nine Australian dollar as found at the closing time of Sydney of ten past four pm. But the S&P/ASX 200 index did not change much. Since 3, November the stocks saw a decline of two decimal eight percent in comparison of benchmark index's drop of zero decimal seven percent.
The airline reported that the incident has been reported to both the Air Transport safety Bureau as well as the Civil Aviation Safety authority of Australia.
