Susan Boyle – A Big Hit in the US

While standing at the Britain's Got Talent stage, the Scottish singer Britain's Got Talent stage expressed that she wanted to reach the heights of success as Elaine Page was on.

Earlier this week, her new album The Gift topped charts in Britain just after its release and also grabbed number one position in the Atlantic on Wednesday. At that achievement Susan said that it was quite amazing. She was so glad that she didn't know how to express the same in words.

The record company of Susan said, "Susan Boyle has become the first female artist to notch up a simultaneous number one album in the US and Britain twice in less than a year".

Even in November 2009, the debut album of Susan "I Dreamed A Dream" made similar achievement in both the countries. It became the biggest-selling album in the world by selling nine-million copies. As per Sony, such a success was attained only by The Monkees in 1967 and the Beatles in 1969.

The forty-nine years old Susan is the product of TV show Britain's Got Talent. She came to limelight after her performance of I Dreamed A Dream from the musical Les Miserables on the ITV show, which amazed the audience and judges.
