With the National Retail Federation’s statistics revealing that 96.5 million people shopped Cyber Monday last year, and projecting the number to rise to 107 million this time round, it is being assumed that technology gifts will top this year’s holiday wish lists.
Amazon. com has already started offering a horde of ‘lightning deals’, in an attempt to allure the online shoppers with some of the greatest bargains that they may want to lap on to instantly - more so as the offers are open only for short, limited periods.
Among the numerous catchy deals, with a whole lot more to crop up Cyber Monday, from Amazon are: the $19.99 offer for Valkyria Chronicles II for PSP; $15 for Bayonetta on PS3; and $14 for ‘Splinter Cell: Conviction’ on Xbox 360. Furthermore, a discounted offer for Front Mission Evolved is likely to appear very soon on all platforms.
Other than Amazon, BestBuy. com has also unleashed its specials on Sunday, November 28. The select items that Best Buy has discounted during the two-day Cyber Sale include: $259.99-priced 32-inch LCD TV; $100 markdown on a Dell laptop for $379.99; free with 2 year activation for Verizon HTC Incredible; video games costing $34.99; and 15 percent off on select major appliances.
Talking about the deals, John Thompson, Senior VP and general manager of BestBuy. com, said: “We've heard from our customers that they're shopping our online channels more than ever and checking back often to get the best deals on the latest tech gifts. We're committed to meeting our customers' changing needs with a superior online experience and delivering the products we know they want at the best prices.”
