Chrysler and General Motors appointing more engineers

On Tuesday General Motors has stated that the automaker has plans to take one thousand engineers for expanding its lineup of electric-drive vehicles in Michigan.

Hiring this one thousand engineers GM will have strength of three thousand engineers in the firm as stated by a spokesperson named Rob Peterson while attending an event to mark the start of production of the automaker’s Chevrolet Volt.

GM had put its effort to establish itself as the innovative and environmental friendly automaker and for that it is producing the Volt.

In another incident Chrysler another auto major for the firm’s small and midsize cars is giving appointment to one thousand engineers as stated by Mike Palese, the spokesman of the companion Tuesday.

The first built Chevrolet Volt will be announced by General Motors and the proceeds from its sale will go for the benefits of science and math education in the Detroit Public School.

The identification number of the car will end with BU 100002.

Mark Reuss, the North American President of General Motors inaugurated the formal production launch of plug-in Volt on Tuesday. That particular vehicle is an electricity driven car having gasoline engine for back up. Reuss stated that he himself and Stephen Girsky, the vice chairman of GM planned to remain amongst the first of the bidders.

Reuss further stated that every aspect of the Volt Car starting from its aerodynamic shape to the chemistry of its battery is courtesy the importance of mathematics and science.

He further stated that they are encouraging the students residing in Detroit area for pursuing these topics. He further stated that the next generation of engineers will be cultivated by this step of GM that will see next generation engineers building upon the innovative technologies of the Volt.
