Lately, there has been intense speculation and a baby-bump watch over, whether Mariah Carey and new hubby Nick Cannon are expecting a little bundle of joy. Which is why, Mariah Carey, appearing on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' today to help promote 'Luscious Pink', her new fragrance, had a tough Ellen test to pass. Wily Ellen, to test whether Mariah was with child, offered her a glass of champagne, questioned Carey about pregnancy rumours, forestalling the pop star with: 'You don't have to answer that. Let's just toast with champagne.'

Refusing to bite the bait, Mariah made all sorts of excuses for not accepting the bubbly, such as, 'It's just fattening', 'This is peer pressure', and 'It's too early for me. I only drink after 3 p. m.'

Ellen, not to be blamed for trying, tried again: 'No, let's toast to you not being pregnant', but Mariah pretending to sip her champagne, wasn't to be drawn. However, Ellen seems to think she's pregnant!
