Recently sue Rolls-Royce is threaten by Qantas. This is because the companies reach a deal over the increasing costs of an engine failure. By this there was squash of the Australian carrier’s A380 superjumbos.
It is expected that the threat of the airline may lead to the dispute between the companies. The both companies trying to decrease their damage to their respective brands. The aftermath of one of the most serious incidents of this year in the aviation industry.
On Thursday Qantas filed a defensive statement of claim in an Australian court that lets the airline take legal action the engine maker in Australia in the country’s Trade Practices Act.
Under that law, Qantas could try to find damages for violation of contract if it is found by the court that Rolls-Royce had failed to meet agreed specifications on the Trent 900 engines the Australian carrier uses on its A380s.
At present the expenses of Qantas are increasing day by day. It is estimated that estimated they have already passed $100m since November 4 when the engine failure forced its Sydney-bound A380 to return to Singapore shortly impression.
