In an announcement that will apparently thrill the fans of ‘Battlefield Bad Company 2’, EA DICE recently said that the eagerly-awaited “Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam” expansion pack release will soon take the series to Vietnam.

The Vietnam map pack will be launched on the PC on December 18; while the owners of the Xbox 360 and PS3 gaming consoles will be able to download the new map pack from December 21.

According to the information shared by DICE, the forthcoming “Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam” expansion pack will include four new maps, six new vehicles, and 15 new weapons. A fifth map - called “Operation Hastings” – will be unlocked with the help of the community.

As per DICE, it will be after the successful completion of 69 million team actions – actions whereby a player resupplies, revives, heals, repairs, or spots teammates - that the players will be able to unlock the “Operation Hastings” map.

Elaborating further, with each platform requiring its respective community to hit the 69 million team actions’ number, as many as 207 million team actions will have to be completed, by PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 users in all, to unlock the fifth map.

EA DICE, which earlier employed a similar format in Battlefield 1943, said that once again it will award the first access to the bonus map to the console which beats the others in reaching a specific in-game milestone!
