The Auditor General of Ontario, while living up to his previous presentations made no difference in presenting his annual report in a very formal manner. Jim McCarter did not make any flashy reports and presented his work with professional crispness to it.
The work compiled by McCarter was also very genuine as the man had highlighted public expenditure in a very crisp manner. It was not hard to see in his report that there had been a lot of wastage by governmental departments in the province.
The Home-Care Services, which have been touted to be the most successful venture by Premier Dalton McGuinty, were also assessed and the AG did not hesitate even once, to present the chunks in the armor. The report has presented so many flaws in the internal working of the province that the Health Minister Deb Matthews should ask for a complete look into the compilation of the Auditor-General.
Though, health professional across the province will be a relieved lot, as the report has been able to provide a story that has been told by doctors' employees in the province since a very long time. Basically, the ground realities have been stated in the report and concerns regarding the floundering health-system have been reported by McCarter.
